Governor will Crack Down on Rogue Taxy

Jakarta Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama instructed Jakarta Transportation to crack down on rogue taxi. Because there are many taxis outside Jakarta operating to raise the passenger. As a matter of fact, they only allowed to drop off passengers.

I've repeatedly instructed Transportation Department to solve this matter

According to Ahok, the act is surely very detrimental to the city administration. Because, the taxi picks up passengers in Jakarta, yet taxes remain payable in their home town.

"I've repeatedly instructed Transportation Department to solve this matter. Many taxis from Depok, Bekasi, and Tangerang come and take passengers in our city. According to the rules, they only allowed to drop off passengers," he stressed, when he launched a regular Blue Bird taxi type Multi-purpose Vehicle (MPV), Thursday (20/8).

Due to the issue is already cross the city and the province, another instruction also thrown into Directorate General of Land Transportation for Transportation Ministry to solve such problem.

in the MPV taxi launching, was attended by Director General of Land Transportation for Transportation Ministry, Djoko Sasono. He also welcomed the taxi launching.

"By doing so, Jakartans will have many public transport options. But they still have to follow the applicable rules that apply," he expressed.
